What is Your Life's Anthem?

I found this really nifty blog called Mama Kat's Losin It where she posts writing prompts for bloggers to use on their own blogs. She has a list of over 400 random and quirky prompts to choose from! I found this one (of course it has to do with music) and thought I'd give it a try:

"What is your life’s anthem? You know…that song that is ALWAYS in your head.
The one you’d go to sing first if someone told you to sing a song right NOW.
What is it and what does it mean to you?"

My answer to this question would have to be "Amazing Grace".
Yeah, I think I hum that song unknowingly atleast once a day.
I love that old sacred hymn.
It's probably one of the most beautiful and well written songs I've ever had the privilege of singing about my God...and it never gets old. Atleast, not to me. :)

Whether the singer is accompanied by banjo, piano, trumpet or a 100 piece orchestra, the song touches my heart every time. I think John Newton definitely had to have had an amazing revelation to even pen the words to this song.
Amazing grace! (how sweet the sound)

That sav’d a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found,

Was blind, but now I see.

Grace has a sound? Yep. To me it sounds like a resounding applause from my Father above for no other reason than this: I said Yes to His grace.

I don't think that a human can define God's grace in a way that could even come close to the real meaning of the word, but we sure can try.

This song makes me grateful for so many things:
undeserved forgiveness...unmerited favor... unconditional love...unbelievable grace.

I thank God for this free gift every single day. What about you? What does God's grace mean to you?
To me, it means second chances....
